The mission
What you'll work on.
You'll join the team building Akieni's national-scale backends · the systems
that already serve the Ministry of Finance, the universal health-coverage
programme and the national social-security operator. We ship in Go, on
Kubernetes, with mTLS and PKI everywhere it matters.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and operate Go services running in production for state operators.
- Own slices of the platform end-to-end · from API design through deployment.
- Define SLOs, write the runbooks, and answer the pager when it counts.
- Review code and architecture from peers and Academy engineers.
- Contribute to the internal libraries the whole org runs on.
Your profile
- 5+ years shipping production backends, ideally in Go (Rust / Java / Node OK).
- Comfortable with Postgres, Redis, Kafka, and the realities of distributed state.
- You can read a spec, push back on it, and propose a better one.
- Fluent in French and English · technical writing in either.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Brazzaville.
